Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has a TON to explore. Some areas, harder to get to than others, maybe even impossible, depending on what abilities you have. If you’re wondering how to unlock the Phantom Dash to get to those hard-to-reach places and maneuver in combat better, check out our guide on where to unlock this ability.

How to Unlock Phantom Dash

To unlock Phantom Dash, you have to be level 17 first. This is because you can only obtain the Terra Resonance mechanic at this level. The Terra Resonance mechanic allows you to interact with certain objects in the game that give your character new traits and abilities.

Float Ability

Before unlocking the dash, you have to unlock the float mechanic. You will find this ability when you fast-travel to the Cliff Ruins and go towards Hero’s Herb.

It is a large blue plant that you will have to resonate with. You just need to interact with it to gain your new ability!

Float Plant

The float ability is used to glide and coast. You have to be high enough off the ground to use it, and it can be useful in traveling to far locations from high ground.

Phantom Dash Location

Once you unlock Float, fast travel to Andra Resting Post. You will see a wind tunnel at the location, just a little past it on a dirt road. Ride the tunnel until you hit the top of the Towering Ruins. Once at the top, resonate with the Wind Core. This will unlock the Phantom Dash.

How to use the Phantom Dash

You can use the new ability to get you through Wind Barriers that protect chests. You will need to equip it from the skills menu in the Terra Resonance spot.

Press E when you are running to perform this skill. If you are on the keyboard, press W+E.

And that is all you need to do to unlock the Phantom Dash mechanic. It’s not too hard to find, other than how high it is off the ground. This new mechanic will now allow you to traverse the map and battle like a pro.
