On Test | The Polygon Siskiu T0 is low on fuss and high on value

[[{“value”:”

The Polygon Siskiu T is a popular trail whip that lands at a price that’s hard to pass up. We’ve had plenty of time aboard previous generations of the Siskiu T, and for the money, they are outstanding bikes.

The brand has recently launched an updated Siskiu T, and lovers of the platform will be happy to see that they haven’t changed a whole lot. There are some small tweaks here and there to refine the overall package, and we’ve just received one for testing, so stay tuned for our impressions in the coming months.

The new Siskiu T has stayed true to its roots, but some updates throughout should make it a more refined package overall.

What’s new with the Polygon Siskiu T

At first glance, the Siskiu T silhouette appears identical to the previous iteration, which we last reviewed in 2024. But take a closer look, and these refinements  become clear.

Firstly, Polygon has updated the rear triangle, which is said to be stronger and stiffer, and better suited to the bike’s intended use. The internal cable routing has also been revised to prevent cable movement and prolong shifter housing life according to the brand.

The switch to a UDH hanger and accessory mounts on the underside of the top tube is a little more obvious. Both are great additions to the Siskiu T. Given the slender downtube, it’s no surprise to see the lack of any internal storage, as we’ve seen on the new carbon Collosus. Still, with the single water bottle mount and accessory mount, riders should be able to stash plenty of spares.

Previously, the Siskiu T was available with 29in wheels and 140/135mm travel in sizes Medium, Large, and Extra-Large, or with 27.5in wheels and 150/140mm travel in sizes Small or Medium. This forced riders into a given wheel size based on their height, which may not have sat well with everyone. To keep things consistent and simplify the lineup, the Siskiu T is now available only in the 29in, 140/135mm travel configuration across all four frame sizes.

Similar to the outgoing Siskiu T, the suspension is based around a single-pivot suspension platform with a one-piece rocker link to drive the shock. At each pivot, there are single sealed-cartridge bearings, except for the seatstay pivot, which still uses an IGUS bushing.

Geometry & Sizing

There are four sizes available in the Siskiu T, ranging from the typical size Small up to the Extra-Large we have on test, accommodating rider heights from 157cm up to 196cm according to Polygon.

Reach measurements start at 440mm for size small, and increase by 20-25mm per size, while 430mm chainstays are used across the board. The seat tube angle is relatively steep, at 77° on all sizes, along with a ‘slack but not too slack’ 65° head angle.

There are no geometry flip chips or wheel size flexibility, not a dealbreaker, but worth noting for those that like to tweak and tinker.

Price & Specs

The Siskiu lineup consists of five different models, with pricing starting at an impressive $2,599 AUD for the T6 build. The range tops out with the T0 build, which is the bike we have on test, retailing for over twice the price of the T6 build, at $5,699 AUD.

For that kind of cash, however, the T0 sports a tidy build package, consisting of Fox Factory suspension and a Shimano Deore XT drivetrain and brakeset.

Our test bike is the T0 model, the most expensive in the lineup, though you get some pretty nice parts for the price.

We’ll have a detailed written review in the works once we’ve clocked some serious time aboard the Polygon Siskiu T0 in the coming months. Stay tuned!

I think we can all agree that the new arch design on the Fox 36 looks really cool.

Detailed review incoming, stay tuned!
