Pivot has revised the Shuttle LT for 2026, pushing its longest-travel e-MTB further away from the Shuttle AM and more clearly into full-power, mixed-wheel, enduro-focused territory.

Where the Shuttle AM leans toward double-29 wheels and a more balanced all-mountain vibe, the Shuttle LT has always been Pivot’s big rig: longer, lower, heavier-hitting, and unapologetically built for chunky, steep and fast terrain. For 2026, that identity is clearer again, with more travel, a larger battery, Bosch’s latest CX motors, a Fox Podium on two models, and a frame designed to be adjusted and fine-tuned.

The Shuttle LT also introduces something new, with a great name: Slacky McSteepTube. Read on.

Pivot’s Shuttle LT returns for 2026 with more travel, more adjustability, and Bosch CX power. We rode the $17,999 Pro model pictured here, with a colour variant below.

Where the Shuttle LT fits

Pivot’s current eMTB range now separates cleanly into three bikes:

  • Shuttle SL | lightweight, short-travel, trail-focused
  • Shuttle AM | full-power, double-29, all-mountain
  • Shuttle LT | full-power, mixed-wheel, long-travel
Slacky McSteepTube allows riders to adjust the effective seat angle between 76.5° and 78°.

The LT remains the gravity-biased option. Travel grows to 170mm up front and 162mm at the rear, and the bike ships in a mullet configuration.

If there was ever a case for mixed wheels, aggressive tyres, long forks, and geometry that prioritises stability over agility, the Shuttle LT is it.

Hello, Slacky McSteepTube speaking…

The Slacky McSteepTube is Pivot’s adjustable seat tube angle system, allowing riders to change the effective seat angle between 78° and 76.5° without affecting other parts of the geo. The steeper setting places the rider further forward for long, sustained climbs, while the slacker option suits more undulating terrain with frequent ups and downs. Adjustment is handled via a removable seat tube insert, which can be rotated between the two positions after loosening the seatpost and lifting it clear of the frame. Cool concept!

Bosch CX power and a bigger battery

All 2026 Shuttle LT models run Bosch’s Performance Line CX platform, with higher-end builds using the CX-R motor.

This is Bosch’s current top-tier system, offering:

  • Up to 100Nm of torque
  • Up to 400% assistance
  • Bosch’s latest control and tuning features

Pivot has also moved to a removable 800Wh battery, stepping up from the 750Wh unit used on the previous Bosch-powered Shuttle LT. The change reflects the bike’s intended use: long climbs, repeated descents, and days where range matters.

Frame design and adjustability

Rather than locking the Shuttle LT into one setting, Pivot has focused on adjustability.

Swinger dropouts allow 8mm of chainstay length adjustment.

The frame includes:

  • An adjustable seat tube angle (76.5° or 78°) via the Slacky McSteepTube system
  • A geometry flip-chip to alter head angle and bottom bracket height
  • A progressivity flip-chip to change the rear suspension feel
  • Swinger dropouts offering 8mm of chainstay length adjustment
  • Compatibility with either 27.5” or 29” rear wheels

The result is a bike that can be set up quite differently depending on terrain, riding style, or even tyre choice, which makes sense for a bike likely to see everything from wet, steep natural trails to bike-park laps.

Pivot Shuttle LT First ride | Early impressions

I’ve only had a brief ride on the Shuttle LT so far, but it was a good one.

The test ride took place on a particularly challenging day around Mount Sugarloaf, west of Newcastle. Steep trails, poor weather, low grip, the kind of conditions where bikes usually feel nervous.

Mixed wheels as standard, with geometry designed around stability on steep and chunky terrain.

What surprised me was how manageable everything felt.

Yes, the Shuttle LT was running soft, grippy tyres and very compliant suspension, but there was more going on than that. The geometry felt very stable, especially on steep roll-ins where it was easy to get my weight back, brace, and let the bike do its thing.

Pivot’s Bryan Mason putting the 2026 Shuttle LT through its paces on freshly burnt trails around Newcastle.

Coming straight from my Specialized Levo, a bike I know well and ride often, the Shuttle LT felt larger and calmer, but not unwieldy. The combination of the Bosch CX motor, low centre of gravity, and planted chassis took the edge off steep descents. Lines that typically demand focus and commitment felt lighter and less mentally taxing.

It didn’t feel like a bike that needed to be fought or constantly corrected. On terrain where things usually get tense, the Shuttle LT was reassuring. Heels down, hard on the brakes, this rig feels very confident and willing to rip a turn.

Pivot Shuttle LT | Spec & Builds

Pivot offers the Shuttle LT in three builds, all sharing the same frame and 800Wh battery.

Fox’s inverted Podium fork features on Pro and Team builds. YESSS!

  • Ride | Bosch CX, Fox 38 Performance fork, Float X shock – $12,999 AUD
  • Pro | Bosch CX-R, Fox Performance Elite Podium fork, Float X shock – $17,999 AUD
  • Team | Bosch CX-R, Fox Factory Podium fork, Float X2 shock, DT Swiss carbon wheels, SRAM XX Transmission – $21,999 AUD

More to come

This is an early look, based on media information and a short first ride. Full ride impressions and longer-term setup notes will follow once we get our hands on a test bike.

For now, the 2026 Shuttle LT looks like Pivot doubling down on what this bike has always been: a full-power eMTB built to make steep, difficult terrain feel less intimidating.

Test bike coming soon!
