Introduction

Maintain Form Templates can be used to create Custom Form Templates using standard templates in SAP S.4 HANA Public Cloud with Key User Extensibility.

Maintain Form Templates is a tile to create new Custom Form Templates in SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud.

Maintain Form Templates in SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud

• Maintain Form Templates App views a list of all available form templates and filter the templates by their assigned languages or countries
• With this, create a new custom form template with one original language and the option to translate it to different target languages
• Copy an SAP-predelivered template to custom form templates for the next editing and reuse
• Delete custom form templates that are no longer needed
• Access older versions of the custom template, download them and compare two versions at object level
• Custom fields can also be added to the Custom form templates and values can be mapped using custom logic.

Predelivered Templates

Choose filters to filter the templates with required templates.

This is the Predelivered template of Purchase Order

Choose Download to edit this template in Adobe Life Cycle Designer

These are the files of the form template.

Custom Templates

For the development of custom form templates, the form template file (XDP) can be downloaded to edit it with the Adobe LiveCycle Designer and upload it as custom template in the original language.

Choose New to create custom template.

Provide the Custom Template name, choose the downloaded file as template file,

choose Dats Source same as Purchase Order template Data Source and

Form Type as Content.

Download the Custom Form Template file to make the necessary changes and re-upload it.

Adobe LifeCycle Designer for SAP Solutions

Open Adobe LifeCycle Designer to edit the custom form

Choose the form

This is the standard form template, and this can be changeable.

Re upload the custom form after making necessary changes.

Assign Form Templates

Assign the custom form templates

Navigate to Assign Form Templates

Maintain an entry for the Custom Form Templates

Maintain the entry for the custom Form Templates as same as standard templates.

Choose new entries.

Output Parameter Determination

Maintain custom form template in output parameter determination

Navigate to Output Parameter Determination

Choose Purchase Order

Choose Form Template as determination

Add a entry or edit the existing entries for custom form templates.

Choose Output type as Purchase Order

Choose Channel as Print

Choose Sender as IN

Add custom form template name in form template

Check and activate the changes.

Testing Form Templates

Navigate to create purchase order and check the forms generated.

Custom form template is triggered.

In SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud, Custom Form templates with specific document types can be created using standard form templates in Maintain form Template app.

Those Custom Form template can be download and modify the form design in Adobe Life Cycle designer and same can be uploaded to that form.

These Custom Form Template can be configured in Output Parameter determination for respective business process.
