In this demo, you’ll see how scenario management in SAP Integrated Business Planning helps planning teams simulate changes, evaluate outcomes, and promote approved results back to the baseline. Using a simple example, the video walks through how to create a scenario, simulate additional demand, and view a scenario-specific forecast.
The demo then shows how to add supply within the same scenario using Joule. You’ll see how planners can create a purchase requisition by selecting the factory, supplier, date, and quantity, then refresh the view to verify the new supply. From there, order-based planning is run inside the scenario to help balance demand and supply.
Finally, the video shows how to inspect the created order through the order drilldown, refresh the planning results, and promote the scenario to the baseline. This transfers the relevant scenario-generated orders and key figures into the baseline, helping teams move from simulation to execution with confidence.
