Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Standard Edition
Physical: $40 | Digital: $30 | Releases October 15
Opt for a physical version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, and you’ll have to pay an extra $10 compared to its digital counterpart–but you will get a case to permanently add to your collection. Both versions include all eligible preorder bonuses. Do note that while the game is heading to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 15, a Nintendo Switch release date is yet to be announced.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Midnight Edition
$40 | Releases October 15

The Midnight Edition is priced the same as physical copies of the standard edition. Your $40 gets you the base game, plus the following:
- Digital sound and art gallery
- Trevor Style costume
- Sypha Style costume
- Family’s Grace (Relic)
It looks like North America will not be getting a physical Midnight Edition. However, other regions will see a Midnight Edition that comes bundled with a steelbook. Select retailers will also stock a Rose Belmont tarot card. If these come stateside, we’ll be sure to update this article.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is a 2D action-adventure game that takes place in Paris in 1499. You’ll play as Rose, the daughter of Trevor, wielding a variety of weapons and Relics as you attempt to slay a litany of monsters infesting the city. You’ll also go up against challenging bosses like Medusa, Death, and even Joan of Arc–and the combat looks just as frantic as ever.
When you’re not cracking your whip in combat, it can be used to traverse the environment and solve all sorts of puzzles. The entire thing is wrapped up in a stylized Gothic art style, and since Konami is working with Motion Twin on the project (the studio responsible for Dead Cells), hopes are high that this is a standout installment in the Castlevania franchise.
