In this release highlights video, Annette García Lorenzo from Product Success presents through her digital twin to explore five SAP Integrated Product Development innovations delivered from Q1 to Q3 2026. See how new capabilities in product handover, master recipe integration, product structure APIs, formulation management, and CAD integration can help companies improve efficiency, consistency, and collaboration across product development and manufacturing.

You’ll see how the new Merge feature in Product Handover helps production engineers consolidate multiple engineering items into a single target manufacturing item while preserving traceability to the original components. The video also shows how Product Handover to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Master Recipe helps production engineers derive a master recipe from a source formulation recipe and connect formulation data with production-relevant attributes.

Annette also introduces new Product Structure APIs that help system integrators create, update, and manage product structures more efficiently. For formulation, new process parameters and cross-dimensional units of measure help recipe developers define production conditions and work with a wider range of units, including kilograms, liters, bottles, bags, and pieces. The video closes with new CAD integrations for Autodesk Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, and Solid Edge, helping connect MCAD authoring tools directly with SAP IPD to support product data governance, engineering-to-manufacturing handover, and cross-functional collaboration.
