In this update, Klaus-Peter Sauer covers what shipped in July, including one focused release packed with enhancements for replication flows, transformation flows, connectivity, monitoring, data governance, and command-line automation. You’ll also see new ways to replicate data from local table files, work with delta load types, connect private data sources, monitor large tables, and manage transport packages more efficiently in SAP Datasphere.
You will see what is new in:
✅ Replication Flow: Local Table Files as Source — Replicate data from local table files in SAP Datasphere directly to supported SAP and non-SAP targets without re-extracting from the original source.
✅ SAP BW and SAP ECC Delta Load Types — Use initial and delta, or delta-only, load types for SAP BW and SAP ECC sources in replication flows.
✅ Transformation Flows on File: Delta Capture Flag Handling — Insert records from delta-enabled source tables into non-delta targets, and use “delete all before loading” for initial-only loads.
✅ Cloud Connector Support for Object Stores and Azure SQL Database — Use Cloud Connector with object store connections, including Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Google Cloud Storage, Microsoft OneLake, and Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
✅ Replicate Data from REST APIs — Connect to external REST APIs as sources in replication flows and land data in your object store space. This capability is available as a restricted release on EU10 landscapes.
✅ SAP HANA Cloud Connections: DigiCert Certificate Update Required — Prepare for the SAP HANA Cloud migration to DigiCert TLS RSA 4096 Root G5 certificates by updating your SAP Datasphere Trust Store.
✅ Monitor Your Partition Details — View local table partitioning details directly in SAP Datasphere to support monitoring for large tables.
✅ Personal Data and Sensitive Personal Data Tagging — Automatically identify personal and sensitive personal data tags from SAP Business Data Cloud data products and see those tags inherited across downstream entities.
✅ Manage Packages via the Command Line — List, create, read, update, delete, and export transport packages using the SAP Datasphere command-line interface.
