When Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched back in 2024, it quickly became one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I still look back on it with fondness, and time hasn’t changed my opinion. The chaos of climbing a beast that should crush you with a gentle push of a finger and stabbing away at its weak points alongside your party cannot be beaten. It’s one of the most satisfying combat mechanics in gaming. The impressive-looking Dark Arisen expansion promises to bring improvements alongside a new tale set in the frosty region of Norgan, and by simply wishlisting the DLC on Steam, you could be one of the lucky winners of a Steam Deck OLED.

Not only does it include the new story, but it also has new dungeons for endgame activities. I’m about to spend another 70 hours on a fresh playthrough.
