[[{“value”:”See how Service Map enhancements bring location and scheduling closer together in SAP Field Service and Asset Management.
In this release demo, see how SAP Field Service and Asset Management helps dispatchers plan, assign, and manage field work with more geographic context. The walkthrough shows how the service map can sit directly alongside the dispatching board, bringing schedules, work orders, technician locations, skills, and routes into one view without switching between planning views.
You’ll also see how dispatchers can review a technician’s planned stops, travel time, and distance across the day before assigning additional work. When a new activity is assigned, the route updates directly on the map, making it easier to understand the impact on travel and the existing schedule before committing the change. Operational GIS layers, including fixed equipment, network infrastructure, and traffic, can also be switched on and off to support better assignment decisions.
Finally, the demo shows how the Service Map now supports crews, helping dispatchers plan team-based work with the same geographic context used for individual technicians. Crews, activities, equipment, and routes can be viewed together, while region filtering helps dispatchers focus on relevant work and resources. With support for ArcGIS Enterprise alongside ArcGIS Online, customers can use existing GIS environments to bring asset and network information directly into the Service Map. Together, these updates help dispatchers understand where work is, who can do it, and how each assignment affects travel and the working day.
