Generally speaking, every Miquella’s Cross tends to have a Scadutree Fragment. Apart from this, there are also a few enemy types (i.e. hippos) that drop the upgrade material when they’re slain. Likewise, the items might be found near or in front of statues with outstretched arms.
Scadutree Fragments – Gravesite Plain map
These are the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Scadutree Fragments in the Gravesite Plain region.
1A location
Found in the Church of Consolation in the southeastern part of the zone.
1B location
Right next to the Three-Path Cross, likely the first Miquella Cross you’ll stumble upon while playing the DLC.
1C location
Go west from the Three-Path Cross and you’ll arrive at the Main Gate Cross in front of Belurat Tower Settlement.
1D location
Once inside Belurat, continue advancing until you reach the rooftops with the Gravebirds. From there, you should see a narrow street and, to your right, there’s some rubble next to a doorway. Check behind the rubble to find a well-hidden opening that leads to the Belurat Interior Cross.
1E location
There’s a statue between Ellac Greatbridge and the pathway that leads to Castle Ensis. The Castle Front Site of Grace is also near.
1F location
From the Castle Front waypoint, follow the road leading south-southeast to arrive at the Pillar-Path Cross.
Scadutree Fragments – Scadu Altus and Rauh Base map
These are the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Scadutree Fragments in the Scadu Altus region.

Enter Castle Ensis. You’ll find another cross just before the main gate.
2B location
After defeating Rellana Twin Moon Knight in Castle Ensis, the exit to Scadu Altus should open. The Highroad Cross is just a short distance away.
2C location
Directly east of Highroad Cross is the Moorth Ruins Cross, which is also where you can learn unarmed combat/martial arts.
2D location
From the Moorth Ruins checkpoint, go north until you see Glowy Worms around a pond. There’s a statue just beyond. Note that the tunnel leads to Rauh Base, too.
2E location
Enter the Church of the Crusade, which is just northwest of Highroad Cross. Watch out because you’ll get invaded by a fella named Fire-Knight Queelign.
2F location
Upon reaching Rauh Base, follow the path and river that leads to the southeast until you see the Temple Town Ruins. There’s an opening at the southern wall, allowing you to enter the settlement. The Scadutree Fragment itself is on an elevated walkway, which you can access by double-jumping with Torrent.
2G location
Follow the road south of Moorth Ruins, then hang a left once you see a dragon overworld boss. There should be a spiritspring near the base of the plateau. This lets Torrent jump high up into the air, allowing you to reach the Scaduview Cross at the end of the sloping path.
Scadutree Fragments – Cerulean Coast/Charo’s Hidden Grave
These are the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Scadutree Fragments in the southern part of the map. You’ll have to trek through rivers and caverns to reach Cerulean Coast/Charo’s Hidden Grave.
3A location
From the Cerulean Coast fast travel point, head further south until you see a marker with the region’s map. Keep going south and you’ll spot the Cerulean Coast Cross.
3B location
This particular Scadutree Fragment in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is in the Stone Coffin Fissure dungeon. You’ll visit this location as part of Thiollier’s quest.
3C location
While exploring Charo’s Hidden Grave, you’ll see a hippopotamus enemy basking in a pond. Take it out to receive this item.
Scadutree Fragments – Jagged Peak map
You’ll have to travel all the way to the southeast to reach the Jagged Peak, which is also the home of drakes and dragons.
4A location
Continue past the Foot of the Mountainside waypoint and ignore the two drakes that are fighting. As you jump up using spiritsprings, you’ll see this reward by the crags.
Scadutree Fragments – Shadow Keep map
The fortress of Shadow Keep has even more Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Scadutree Fragments for you to obtain. Take note that some areas requires you to gain access via the flooded alternate path.
5A location
You obtain this after defeating the Golden Hippopotamus boss at the main entrance.
5B location
Upon entering the Specimen Storehouse, you have to use staircases and hanging contraptions to climb to higher floors. Eventually, you’ll jump across a hanging specimen to reach a balcony that has a Miquella Cross, Site of Grace, and this Scadutree Fragment.
5C location
As you progress through the Specimen Storehouse facility, you’ll gain access to the northwest tower, which is where Messmer resides. You can pick up this item before entering Messmer’s chamber.
5D location
This requires you to enter Shadow Keep via the flooded path. You’ll see an item floating on a statue’s hand. Jump across the deep water to obtain it.
5E location
Once you’ve reached the loft area (via the alternate path), you’ll come across a field with golden flowers. That’s actually a boss arena. Instead of going straight ahead to encounter the boss, turn right to see a small room with a statue. This particular statue is fairly important, leading to Scaduview/Hinterlands.

Further north of Shadow Keep is a small region known as Scaduview. One particular spot here has a bunch of upgrade materials. To reach this place, you must go through the flooded alternate path, then ascend via the loft section of the fortress.
Where to find 5x Scadutree Fragments
After defeating the boss in the aforementioned golden fields, you should keep going to the northwest. There’s a towering gate at the edge of the hill. Beyond it is the Scadutree Chalice, which has five Scadutree Fragments scattered all around.
Scadutree Fragments – Ancient Ruins of Rauh
These are the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Scadutree Fragments in the northwest part of the map. You have to make your way from Shadow Keep to reach the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.
7A location
Upon exiting the tower/lift that takes you to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, look for ledges that allow you to drop down to the lower section. There’s a hippopotamus enemy here that you can kill to obtain this item.
7B location
Proceed further into the ruined temple complex (i.e. the one with Manflies and Cultist Spirits). Eventually, you’ll find yourself in the lower plateau. In the distance is another Miquella Cross.

In the next temple complex (i.e. the one with Cultist Spirits and Demihuman Harlequin), there’s an altar at the back. You can grab the item from there.
Scadutree Fragments – Recluses River and Abyssal Woods map
More Scadutree Fragments can be yours once you unlock the secret region known as the Abyssal Woods. Beware of Madness Mutants–they’re invulnerable, and you have to sneak past them.

Upon reaching the second to the last section of waterfalls/plateaus leading to the Abyssal Woods, you should spot a couple of hippopotamus enemies. Take them out to get your rewards.
