Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases on October 25 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Here is everything announced for Black Ops 6 Zombies. Additionally, Call of Duty is getting a UI overhaul next week, and here’s everything you need to know about the UI changes.

How Augments work in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Augments were originally introduced in Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode, but they’ll work a little differently this year by reducing the need to grind a special in-game currency in order to make upgrades. You’re also limited to how many Augments you can use at once.

Players won’t have access to these upgrades right away. Augment Research is unlocked once a player reaches level 11, and then players can pick and choose which upgrades they want to focus on first.

To start researching an Augment, players simply need to select augment in the research menu and start earning XP in-game to make progress toward unlocking the Augment.

Each loadout item has two available Augment slots: one for a major Augment and one for a minor Augment. Each item has three major Augments and three minor Augments to choose from.

A Major Augment offers a substantial advantage to the behavior of the item, while a minor Augment offers a limited advantage to the item.

Unlocked Augments can then be chosen before the start of a match for each individual perk, ammo mod, or field upgrade. This allows players to customize their Augments for their style of play, such as roles for healing or playing aggro.

How Perk-a-Colas work in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Augments aside, the perk drinks in Black Ops 6 mostly function as normal. Perk-a-Colas are purchased in-game using points called Essence. When knocked down, players will lose perks depending on how many they’ve obtained and how long they’ve been downed for.
