At one point during the main story of RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, you’ll get a flashback where Miranda needs to choose to press a button or refuse. Pressing it can have dire consequences for other people, but maybe those people deserve what they get. Still, is it right? What should Miranda do? Read on and we’ll tell you what each choice entails! Do be warned, though, there’ll be some spoilers here.
Press The Button Or Refuse | RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business
As we’ve mentioned in our introduction, you get this choice naturally as part of a flashback cutscene. This happens at the very end of the “The Perfect Pitch” mission. At this point, Miranda is forced to choose between pressing or not pressing a button. Pressing it will activate the electric chairs nearby, killing two men who assaulted Miranda earlier in the story.
If you choose to press the button, Miranda will watch as the men get electrocuted and die. In a way, she seems to enjoy getting her revenge here, considering the story up to this point.
If you refuse to press it, Cassius will grab Miranda’s hand and force her to push it. Miranda will try to avert her gaze, but will be ordered to look by Cassius. Essentially, this makes Miranda a reluctant accomplice in these men’s deaths.
Either way, the end result is more or less the same. Miranda ends up pushing the button, either willingly or not, and the two men die. This does not have any major consequences either in the story or the gameplay. However, it does affect some minor dialogue later on, as other characters will question Miranda’s choice.
Ultimately, since it doesn’t really have any major effects, you can just pick whatever you want. If you want Miranda to remain as more of a good person, though, just refuse to press the button.
