My top features in July
Data Integration & Connectivity
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) as Source for Your Replication Flow
After delivering SFTP as a target already in May this year, you can now also use SFTP connections as sources in replication flows to any supported target.
➡️ More information:
Transport Objects Between File Spaces
You can now export objects from and import objects to file spaces, meaning a space based on the embedded object store with file-based artifacts.
Task Chains
New Layout Option in Task Chain Toolbar
The options in the task chain editor toolbar have been re-arranged and a new layout option was added. The new layout option allows you to rearrange the visual display of a task chain on the canvas, from top-to-bottom (the default), or left-to-right.
Connection Type Generic HTTP
With the new connection type, you can connect to external systems and add tasks that are exposed by REST-based APIs to task chains. For this purpose, we have introduced the new API Tasks connection feature, which is supported only for Generic HTTP connections.
Running API Tasks in a Task Chain
The generic HTTP connection is the prerequisite to provide the ability of running tasks in a task chain that use a REST-based API to access external systems.
New Notification Task Object in Task Chains
SAP Datasphere now allows users to set up additional email notification within a task chain, in addition to the notification specified for completion of the entire task chain. Users drag the new Notification Task object to any point in the sequence of tasks run in a task chain and then specify the subject and message for this new email notification. These new notifications use the same recipient list as the email notification maintained at the task chain level.
Self-Service Enhancements
Enable Multi-Availability Zones for SAP HANA Cloud
Use the Enable SAP HANA Multi-Availability Zones option on the Tenant Configuration page to create a synchronous replica of the main system on a system in a different region. The synchronous replica system has a high-availability setup that can take over processing when necessary.

Enabling of SAP HANA for SQL data warehousing on Your SAP Datasphere Tenant
Administrators can now create the mapping between their SAP Datasphere tenant and their SAP Business Technology Platform account to enable SAP HANA for SQL data warehousing themselves, rather than needing to raise a ticket. Both environments for Kyma and Cloud Foundry are supported and the same information as previously required for the ticket with Organization ID and Space ID is required to be able to do the instance mapping.
