Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has recently reached a total of five million in sales. And to celebrate that milestone, Sandfall Interactive revealed that they’re working on a major update that’s available for FREE!
However, that isn’t the only thing that’s doing well for the game.
In fact, not long ago, its soundtrack has also won the Game Music Award at the recently held World Soundtrack Awards held in Ghent, Belgium.
The soundtrack, which was composed by Lorien Testard, resulted in “impressionistic tonalities interspersed with climactic peaks, all serving the melancholy and mystique of the game’s world.”
It managed to beat the music of both Doom: The Dark Ages and Dune: Awakening, alongside other lesser known games, namely Farewell North and Neva.
After the win, Sandfall Interactive then took to social media to congratulate Testard for his impressive work.
They even dropped a link where you can listen to 154 songs that can play continuously for up to 7 hours. You can check it out on this link for the various channels to choose from.

In an interview with Gamesradar+, Terstad said that he “tried not to listen to other soundtracks while working on Clair Obscur, to stay as close as possible to my own instincts and to what I was feeling for the game.”
“But I’ve loved video game music and listened to a lot of it when I was younger, along with all the French music I’ve grown up with. That music has been part of my life for years, so it’s shaped the way I hear and write music.” he added.
By the last week of October, Sandfall Interactive will hold live orchestral concerts for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. These will take place in Lyon on October 25, Paris on October 28 and 29, and Montpellier on October 31.
Testard will perform in these concerts, alongside vocalist Alice Duport-Percier and the Curieux Orchestra.
