I recently took the SAP Certified – SAP Generative AI Developer (C_AIG) exam in SAP’s new, task-based format. Compared to the traditional proctored, MCQ-style certification (I previously passed the SAP Certified Associate – Back-End Developer – ABAP Cloud ), this format felt refreshingly real: open-book, hands-on, and aligned with how we actually work: consulting documentation and credible sources to solve practical tasks. The difficulty was fair and thoughtfully designed. However, I faced a serious technical issue in the final minutes: the “Confirm Completion” button did not respond despite multiple attempts, leading to an immediate fail result likely due to the system not registering my submission within the two-hour lab window. I’ve raised a support case and hope SAP can review my completed work or grant a reattempt. Aside from this incident, I genuinely prefer this format over MCQs.
