[[{“value”:”Always looking for the next adventure, Yeti Cycles Ambassadors Joey Schusler, Jimmy Smith, and Athlete Manager & Photographer Josh Conroy set out to build and ride a self-supported route across Turkey’s Kaçkar Mountains. Beginning at sea level in Ardeşen, they climbed directly from the Black Sea into the highest reaches of the range, linking remote valleys, alpine ridgelines, and seasonal highland settlements before finishing in Trabzon eight days and 261 miles later.
Drawn from satellite imagery and intuition, the route demanded long climbs and earned descents. The beauty of the mountains — and the hospitality of the people who live among them — left an imprint that became the soul of the trip.
