No further details on the movie have been shared as of yet, but the project has been in the works for some time. As previously announced, Taylor Sheridan (best known for Yellowstone) is writing the movie’s script, while Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Battleship, Deepwater Horizon) will direct and co-write, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is being produced by Paramount.
The notion of a Call of Duty movie goes back many years. Xbox boss Matt Booty explained late last year why it was finally happening, explaining that Call of Duty execs “felt like they found a partner who understands the game, people who play the game, and shared a vision of what it could be to bring that forward.”
