PC gamers know the eternal conundrum: Mouse or controller? Well, por que no los dos? Pixelpaw labs has a new design for a gaming mouse that splits apart into separate Switch-style controllers. In both modes it’s pretty respectable, with a 16,000 DPI sensor, though that split design means it has to make do with a touch panel instead of a scroll wheel.
In controller mode you get all the standard buttons, which you can remap to your liking with double bindings. Wireless comes in Bluetooth and 2.4GHz, at up to 1000Hz polling. Various accessories, like a phone grip, are also being planned.
The Phase mouse-slash-controller is aiming for a 2026 or 27 release, with a Kickstarter campaign. $20 down right now will get you a pre-order, though it is refundable. For more on the latest gaming hardware, check out PCWorld.
