In this SAP Sapphire Orlando 2026 conversation, SAP welcomes Gustavo Sabato from Aeropuertos Argentina to share how the company manages complex airport operations across Argentina and beyond. Aeropuertos Argentina moves around 90% of Argentina’s commercial flights, serving millions of passengers while connecting people, cargo, and cultures.
Gustavo explains why winter weather is a major operational challenge for airports. Historically, snow and ice response processes were manual and fragmented, creating operational cost, safety, and environmental challenges. To address this, Aeropuertos Argentina built the SNOW Agent, which stands for Smart Network Operating Winter.
The SNOW Agent orchestrates weather information, runway sensors, operational procedures, and maintenance processes. It can generate alerts, release work orders, check resource availability, track execution, and support communication between the control tower and operations teams. Built on SAP Business Technology Platform and an SAP S/4HANA foundation, the solution helps create one version of the truth and a faster path from idea to impact.
