[[{“value”:”We’re not sure there’s been a disruptive force in the mountain bike industry as big as Amflow since the suspension fork, if even that! Since blowing the pedals off every other eMTB drive unit and electronics suite when they came out less than two years, the Amflow brand and their Avinox drive unit went from being non-existent to being THE system to have. Amflow’s first eMTB – the PL Carbon – was pounds lighter, thousands cheaper, and so much more powerful than anything on the market when it launched. And while there was plenty of praise and desire from the consumers, it seems some product testers felt there was still something left to be desired in terms of all-out performance from the newcomer.
The new Amflow PR is not the answer to those critical reviews – that’s the soon-to-be-reviewed Amflow PX Carbon Pro. Instead, the PR (the R stands for removable battery) is Amflow’s attempt to offer an even more affordable eMTB for the masses, answering the demand for an Avinox-equipped bike with a removable battery in the process.
How does the Avinox M2-equipped Amflow PR stack up against 14 of the hottest eMTBs on the market in 2026? We were excited to hit the trails around Santa Fe, New Mexico, to find out.
