What Is This CEI?
We’re inviting selected SAP HANA Cloud customers to work directly with SAP product experts in a hands-on exploration of the Recommendation App and its Advisors. No additional licensing. No new tools to buy. Just practical guidance to get more value from what you already have.
This is a two-way collaboration: you get expert knowledge tailored to your landscape, and we get the real-world feedback we need to build a better product.
The Advisors in Focus
The Recommendation App includes four advisors, each targeting a different dimension of system performance:
- Partition Advisor — identifies tables that would benefit from partitioning to improve query performance and manageability
- Index Advisor — recommends creating and dropping indexes based on your actual workload patterns
- NSE Advisor — helps optimize NSE (Native Storage Extension) usage to balance performance and memory cost
- Performance Class Advisor — assists in selecting the optimal performance class or instance size based on historical workload patterns (2026.QRC2 GA planned)
Together, these advisors surface concrete, actionable recommendations — but knowing how to evaluate and apply them in your specific landscape makes all the difference.
What You’ll Get Out of It

How It Works
The engagement is lightweight by design — ~4 hours per month — structured across three touchpoints:
- Initial Call — introduction, landscape review, and goal alignment
- Feedback Call — hands-on exploration and open discussion
- Final Closing Call — summary, findings, and next steps
