The 2026 Inside SAP Series is designed to give an inside look into how SAP’s IT organisation drives innovation from within. The series features experts from across Corporate Processes & IT is sharing real-world insights into how we use our own technology to drive transformation. It showcases SAP innovations in depth: every new capability, every architectural shift, and every AI breakthrough, as we serve as our own reference customer.

The 2026 Inside SAP episodes are currently streaming on YouTube, and all live sessions are still available on demand; here are the sessions that have aired so far. On June 23rd, we had our 1st guest, Anna Withum, Customer Collaboration Manager at SAP for Me, with a special focus on “transformation starts at home.” She showcased Joule as the ‘’Intelligent Front Door” to SAP, giving you a single AI-powered entry point to quickly find answers, support, and services. She used a persona-based example to show that employees spend 20-30% of their working time searching for important information, and how this solution combines AI guidance with a task centre to make employees’ interactions faster, easier, and more effective.
Oliver Huth, Head of Platform – Enterprise Analytics, SAP, walked us through how SAP grew its data products from 0 to 750 in 3years in an episode titled: Unleashing both human and artificial intelligence with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC). This session showcases how operationalised data products accelerate insights and innovation and empower teams.
The next session was presented by Majeed Malik, Lead of Enterprise AI Product & Partner Management, who shared the 5 Lessons from SAP’s transformation to an agentic AI enterprise. Majeed highlighted that most organisations are spending millions to keep up with the rapidly evolving nature of AI, and only 16% get a positive return on their investment. He highlighted the significant gap between what AI promises and the reality of its value delivery. The learnings were well captured in 5 lessons. Those lessons included: Data challenge (AI without data doesn’t work), technology data (AI platforms and standardised paths), process challenge (value to be compared and scaled), Strategy Challenge (centralisation vs decentralisation to accelerate delivery), and People Challenge (Make adoption inevitable).
On July 16th and 23rd SAPs Agentic AI early adopters showcased how, by acting as “Customer Zero,” we built an enterprise-ready architecture and achieved measurable efficiency gains. Max Stein and Damian Preisner spoke on Unlocking cash management with SAP S/4HANA and AI agents that automate bank statements, suggest cash movements, and unify Treasury and Real Estate processes.
Karl Baert, Global Head of People Solutions,andGeorge Arnold, Domain Lead of People Technology & Innovation, presented on SAP’s Journey to Autonomous HCM– bringing the autonomous HCM to life internally with AI agents that support HR processes and talent management, providing continuous support and strategic insights to realise SAP’s people agenda – to provide support in leading a skills-led organisation. This episode showcased how AI-enabled HR technology enhances HR processes and talent management.
Looking ahead, the Inside SAP series resumes in September, bringing the audience insights on how SAP is building end-to-end agentified workflows, transforming Travel & Expense and financial planning, modernising its commercial architecture and scaling enterprise AI agent delivery.
