How skills work in Wardogs

Instead of forcing you to pick a class type at the start of your match, Wardogs lets you gain XP by completing various role-specific actions throughout each match. How to level each skill in Wardogs
Assault
The assault class rewards XP for getting kills and assists. Leveling up the assault class will give you access to more assault rifles and various attachments.
Medic
The medic class rewards you for reviving and healing your teammates. To get the most out of this role, make sure you’re bringing a few bandages into each match, so you can get awarded with money and XP for healing teammates after you revive them. You do not get credit for reviving yourself.
Playing a medic role is always helpful in team-based shooter games, and Wardogs is no exception. You can earn a lot of money by reviving and healing your teammates, and it will also reward you with plenty of XP to level up and unlock more efficient medical gear, including defibrillators and a medical bag.
Even if you don’t want to play a healer role, it’s still worth leveling up enough to unlock some of the optic attachments and the tactical smoke grenade locked within the Medic track.
It’s also worth noting that you can grab a free Field Resuscitator from the vendor at the start of the match. This is a one-time-use medical item that will let you quickly revive a fallen teammate.
Recon
Recon is leveled by using the binoculars and other spotting gear to tag enemies and their vehicles, and you get even more XP if a teammate eliminates the targets while you have them spotted. The quickest way to level up this track is to position yourself some place high up in the action and start spotting all the enemies around you.
Recon is a role that mostly benefits you if you like using snipers and stealth playstyles, providing access to better rifles, attachments, and bipods. However, you can unlock lethal equipment like claymores and a ghillie suit if those items interest you.
Support
You can earn a lot of money and XP through various support roles in the game, and it’s also an important role to play in Wardogs. This includes building defensive structures around your team’s FOB, using wrenches to repair friendly vehicles, delivering supplies, and destroying enemy vehicles and FOBs.
Leveling up the support skill track will give you access to better tools for this role, such as more efficient drills and heavy duty hammers. It also unlocks various launchers for destroying enemy vehicles and structures.
Driver
The Driver role allows you to gain XP for the track by simply driving players and supplies into the control zone. Players are constantly dying and needing a lift back into the fight, so this is a role that constantly needs to be filled throughout a match.
You can also gain this XP by hopping into a tank or other combat vehicle. Everyone in the vehicle will get Driver XP for kills earned by either the driver or in the gunner seat.
Leveling up the Driver skill track will give you access to resupply crates and more rides, including heavy and armored vehicle types. You also get more music tracks unlocked for jamming out while you drive.
As the driver, you can easily combine roles and work to transport supplies to your team’s FOB. This means you’ll be leveling up as both a driver and support player.
Pilot
Having pilots is important for a team’s success in Wardogs, as this is the quickest way to transport players and supplies into the control zone. Leveling up the Pilot track will give you access to supply crates, more music tracks, and more helicopter types. There are some helicopters built for combat, but others have additional seats for transport, including the Z20 Lakota for carrying two crew members and up to 11 passengers.
