Let’s have a look at the new features that got released for both experiences, the Joule Work experience, as well as the SAP Build Work Zone experience – formally called SAP Mobile Start.
Let´s start with the features that are valid for both experiences.
With the latest release, Joule conversations are now shared between mobile and web, meaning you can start a conversation on mobile and then continue it on your laptop or desktop computer. Certainly, also expired conversations will be available on mobile and web.
The new Profile and Settings entry “Conversations” allows you to see your user profile data and to enable/ disable the Joule memory feature right in the mobile app. When turned on, Joule remembers your preferences, workflows, and chat goals to keep responses relevant and fast. Memories are usually kept for 12 months, but you can revoke consent anytime by deactivating its toggle, then the memories are deleted immediately. You can always see the stored data under “Saved Memories”.

You can now engage in natural voice conversations with Joule Work in the mobile app. With the latest release, you can speak directly to Joule and receive spoken responses, eliminating the need to look at your device screen. This hands-free experience is particularly useful when you are on the go or need to work without interacting with your device. The new Apple CarPlay integration also enables you to communicate with Joule while driving—for example, to prepare for your next customer meeting.

Since the last release, we allow you to customize the Support Section on the “Profile and Settings” screen. This allows you to add additional information for your users, in case they have any support needs. Now, administrators can additionally add free text to this section. Once configured, the info is displayed on the Profile and Settings screen as well as during the onboarding process. The feature can be added and configured via SAP Mobile Services or via Mobile Device Management (MDM) . Please also check our SAP Help documentation for details.
Finally, administrators can select a dedicated browser via MDM for the onboarding process. This feature can be used to define the browser the Joule Work mobile app uses for the initial onboarding authentication and possible re-authentication and allows you to enforce a specific browser policy across your managed device fleet. The setting does not affect the general in-app browsing behavior. We also have added Thai to the list of supported languages for SAP Joule mobile app.
Next, let´s have a look at the new feature for only Joule Work experience.
You can now view insights on your spaces and cards. Just tap on the overflow menu (three dots) of a space and select “Open Insights”. Then the insights overlay appears and provides info such as which steps got executed and which sources got leveraged to create the space.

Finally, what is new for SAP Build Work Zone experience?
With the last release we had introduced workspaces for SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition. Since then, you can easily access your workspaces when being away from your desk with the Joule Work mobile app. Now, you can also add your favorite workspaces to the Start screen, with your changes synced automatically across mobile and web. To add a workspace to the Start screen, just do a long tap on a workspace tile and add it – the same way you know from adding app favorites.
