[[{“value”:”DeepSeek just released DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017. Its Hugging Face model card calls it a minor update, but it improved on all 11 benchmarks in DeepSeek’s own table, with Terminal-Bench 4.0 jumping from 31.2% to 42.3% five weeks after V4.1 Flash.
On DeepSeek’s DeepSWE v1.1 cost chart, it reaches 77.0% at about $0.20 per task, the highest score on that chart. On DeepSeek’s table, it’s comparable to OpenAI’s GPT 5.6 Sol at about a sixteenth of Sol’s output price. All benchmark numbers are DeepSeek’s own; independent results aren’t in yet.
It’s the same size as V4.1 Flash, further trained with reinforcement learning on building complete projects. It’s live now on the DeepSeek API as deepseek-flash at the same price, with open weights under the MIT license. DeepSeek also opened its Search and Fetch APIs at $0.75 per 1,000 requests.
