SAP Signavio’s Process Consulting Agent empowers you to analyze processes, surface insights, and drive transformation initiatives, all through natural language conversation.

Process improvement has always been the domain of specialists: analysts who know their way around event logs, SIGNAL queries, and dashboards, interpreting and retrieving findings manually. This depth of knowledge has been instrumental in surfacing valuable process insights for organizations. At the same time, the need for expert analytical skills has made process mining less accessible for business users without a technical background. The Process Consulting Agent changes that by putting expert-level process intelligence in everyone’s hands.

Since its release in August, the Process Consulting Agent has continued to evolve to deliver deeper process mining capabilities while covering also the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Manager scope.

This means users can now seamlessly get a fully detailed process mining analysis, recommendations and structured visualizations and metrics, out of a business question, and then turn it into structured transformation initiatives, all in a single conversation.

Deeper process mining: analysis in seconds, not days

With the latest release, the Process Consulting Agent was enriched with process mining capabilities (generally available) including cycle time analysis, process variant exploration, throughput, conformance, and event-level details, all accessible through natural language. With these capabilities, it is significantly easier and less costly for analysts and business users to perform investigations that previously required deep expertise in SIGNAL queries.

  • Cycle time and throughput: Understand end-to-end durations, identify where time is lost between specific milestones, and track throughput trends over any period.
  • Rework and conformance: Surface rework loops, skipped steps, and deviations from the defined process path, automatically, not after the fact.
  • Process variants: Discover the distinct paths cases actually take through a process and compare them against the intended design.

All of this at event-level detail, drilling from fleet-wide KPIs down to the complete activity log of a single case.

This means a procurement manager can ask “Why did supplier invoice processing time spike last month?” and get a data-grounded answer in seconds. A process analyst can investigate regional performance differences in a single conversation, rather than building a report overnight.

Also, with the October suite release we are taking a much bigger step forward by introducing a beta program that allows you to move to a fully agent-led process mining experience via MCP.  With the agent led mining MCP you can run the full analysis workflow, identify root causes using the automated root cause analysis engine, surface inefficiencies and obtain recommendations, all without manual intervention.

Importantly, the user remains at the center of the experience. The agent presents its findings transparently, showing the analysis it performed, the data it used, and the reasoning behind its conclusions, so users can validate, challenge, and refine the results iteratively. This is augmented intelligence, not a black box: the agent does the heavy lifting, but the human makes the decisions.

Process Transformation Manager integration (generally available)

Identifying a process problem is only half the work. Also critical is converting that finding into structured, trackable transformation activity, and doing so without losing the context that made the recommendation meaningful in the first place.

The October release connects the Process Consulting Agent directly with SAP Signavio Process Transformation Manager. The Process Consulting Agent provides an overview of existing transformation initiatives and their status, helping users understand what is already in progress before creating or updating transformation work.

When the agent surfaces an improvement opportunity, users can act on it:

  • Create transformation initiatives directly from agent recommendations, pre-populated with the opportunity description, rationale, affected process area, and suggested next steps, with no need for manual recreation.
  • Capture process findings as structured insights and link them to the relevant initiative, keeping the analytical evidence connected to the transformation work.
  • Reduce duplicate effort: the agent can reference existing transformation initiatives so new recommendations are aligned with ongoing work rather than generated in isolation.

The integration also extends to value management. The Process Consulting Agent can create Value Cases in SAP Signavio Process Transformation Manager based on insights generated by the agent or business inputs provided by users, helping teams connect identified improvement opportunities to expected business value and prioritize accordingly.

The result: the path from “here is what the data shows” to “here is the initiative we are running to fix it” compresses from weeks to a single conversation and full transparency on transformation work.

The Bigger Picture

These two enhancements reflect the same underlying goal: making expert-level process analysis and transformation management accessible to anyone, while freeing expert users to focus on higher-value activities. Process owners get answers on demand. Analysts spend less time on data extraction and manual analysis, and more time on decision-making. Transformation leads can move faster, with recommendation context preserved throughout.

The Process Consulting Agent is one of two agents within the Process Transformation Assistant. Alongside the Process Data Modeling Agent, now in beta in labs for the engagement layer of your choice such as Copilot, Claude, Joule Work Desktop, they cover complementary parts of the process transformation lifecycle: the Process Data Modeling Agent automates most of the workflow to set up ready-to-mine object-centric process data models, while the Process Consulting Agent performs analysis, derives insights and recommendations and converts findings into transformation initiatives at ease.

Expected in November 2026, the Process Consulting Agent will extend its reach to SAP Signavio Process Modeler, further broadening its scope and the value it can deliver across the full SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite (The embedded video delivers a preview).
