Finding a possible CDS object for a familiar SAP table is still more difficult than it should be. The Cloudification Repository, released object trees in ADT, and the SAP Business Accelerator Hub are valuable starting points. But successor information is not available for every table, and developers often start with a table and a field rather than the business-object vocabulary needed to find the right CDS object.
In my earlier post, How to find a CDS view for a classic Table in ABAP – Cheat Sheet, I described a pragmatic way to reverse-engineer direct table-to-CDS field relationships. This post takes the same idea one step further: I ran the analysis broadly on an SAP S/4HANA 2025 FPS01 system and created a portable report that lets a developer start from a standard table or a table field.
