AI-Assisted Role Wizard: Let your work speak for itself
Share

Since introducing the Role-based Process Overview capability, people across organizations have been able to immediately see which processes are relevant to their work. Now, we’re taking it one step further because finding the right role shouldn’t require knowing your dictionary inside and out.

We’re excited to announce an AI-driven enhancement to the Role-based Process Overview capability: an access aware intelligent setup wizard that finds relevant roles for you, based on how you describe your own work.

To enable AI-assisted Role-based Process Overview capability, your administrator needs to accept AI Terms and Conditions.

No dictionary expertise required

The original setup wizard asks you to select roles from your organization’s dictionary. That works well when you already know what’s in there but for new joiners, cross-functional contributors, or anyone switching teams, browsing an unfamiliar dictionary to find your roles can slow things down before you’ve even started.

With the AI-powered role wizard, you simply describe what you do and the wizard handles the matching.

How it works

Getting started is even easier now:

  1. Find “My Process Overview” — Log in and locate the My Process Overview panel on the home page, just as before.
  2. Start the Quick Setup — On your first visit, you’ll see Role Wizard and can initiate it directly. Already have your profile set up? You can re-run it anytime to refine your roles or start fresh.
  3. Describe your role and responsibilities — Instead of browsing the dictionary, type a short description of your job: your team, your tasks, what you own. The AI-driven wizard reads your input and surfaces the dictionary roles most relevant to you.
  4. Review and confirm — The wizard presents its suggestions. You stay in control: accept, adjust, or add roles before confirming.
  5. Enjoy your personalized view — Your My Process Overview generates automatically, showing the processes, activities, and RACI assignments tied to your confirmed roles.

Why it matters

The biggest friction point in the original setup was the expectation that users already know their organization’s role taxonomy. That’s a reasonable ask for a process owner but not for someone on day one, or someone who spans multiple functions.

By letting users describe their work in plain language and having AI close the gap to the dictionary, setup becomes accessible to everyone, regardless of how familiar they are with your organization’s dictionary.

This means:

  • Faster time-to-value: New joiners can set up a meaningful process view in minutes, without a guided tour of the dictionary first
  • Better role matching: Describing responsibilities often surfaces relevant roles users wouldn’t have found by browsing alone
  • The same personalized outcome: Everything that made Role-based Process Overview capability powerful such as access-aware content, RACI visibility, single-page clarity, remains exactly in place but now further accelerated by AI
