In pMRP Basics Part 2, we start with a quick recap of Part 1, then jump into the simulation itself. You’ll see the simulation overview with key details like the reference data used, delivery performance, status, and available actions. We walk through practical actions such as copying, renaming, deleting, and the most important one for ongoing planning work, refresh reference data (including what it updates, and what it does not).
From there, we open the simulation and explore how to work in the demand plan simulation view, including editing demand values directly, using the inspector to validate changes, and switching display settings to compare simulation vs reference and understand deltas. Next, we review the capacity plan simulation view to interpret used vs available capacity, see which materials consume capacity, and adjust available capacity within the simulation (including applying changes across future periods). Finally, we review simulation components for a BOM-level breakdown and use the simulation summary to review demand and capacity adjustments in one place.
