In this SAP Integrated Business Planning release highlight and demo, see how time-dependent yield helps supply plans reflect production reality bucket by bucket. Instead of relying on one flat value for a source of supply, planners can maintain output coefficients over time using the new PDS output coefficient key figure.
You’ll learn how this capability can improve component demand accuracy, support better inventory and capacity decisions, and reduce overproduction caused by outdated yield assumptions. You’ll also see how planners can enable the feature per source of supply, choose the right time granularity from daily to monthly, and use it within the existing order-based supply planning run.
Static output coefficients continue to work as before, so teams can adopt time-dependent yield one source of supply at a time. The I_SAPIBP2 sample planning area includes the new key figure out of the box, making it easier to explore the capability.
