One of your objectives during Act 1 of The Alters will require you to find a vantage point. Using that vantage point, Jan can get a good look at a lava river that threatens the area. Find a good spot to check things out and start planning how to deal with it. In this guide, we’ll tell you where the vantage point is.
Where To Find The Vantage Point In Act 1 | The Alters
In Act 1, open up your map and position it so that your base is on the northern tip of the map. With that done, all you need to do to reach the vantage point for the story is go all the way south to the spot marked above.
It’s past south of the Organics deposit, which you should’ve already found at this point. As another reference point, this would be east of the nearby Rapidium deposit.
Nonetheless, you just need to go to that spot and climb up the cliff there to get a cutscene. Jan will get a good look at the lava river in the area. Once the cutscene ends, you just need to return to Jan Technician to start talking about how to deal with this situation.
While that’s all you need to do to find the vantage point in Act 1, we also want you to remember this spot for now. It will be important later on, once you need to start gathering Minerals in Act 1.
